Last week, lots of wind turbine components were delivered to the site of the Courrière wind farm. Transporting these components is not easy. Behind these impressive images is a very delicate process, with several parties working closely together to ensure all the components arrive at the site on time.

Some of the components are so large and heavy that special transport is needed to get them safely to their destination. The length of the blades on these wind turbines, for example, is a whopping 58.5 metres! Therefore, meticulous planning and analysis is necessary, from the wind farm's initial design to its eventual installation. Once all the components have been delivered to the site, we start building the wind turbines.

Want to take a closer look at the impressive components? On Sunday 12 March, the site of the Courrière wind farm will be open! Everyone is welcome to visit the site from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Most of the large components, including the blades and nacelle, will be on display on the ground. Storm employees will be on hand to provide information about the wind farm. The entrance to the site is accessible via Chemin du Chafour in Courrière.
