As an Investment Analyst, you will play a crucial role in developing, optimizing, and managing financial models for renewable energy projects.
You will work closely with internal teams and external partners such as banks, investors, and auditors to analyze financial performance, prepare forecasts, and support risk management. You will ensure that all models comply with internal standards and that your analyses contribute to strategic decisions within Storm.

What are your responsibilities?
- Development of financial models: Designing and optimizing models for new and operational projects, and updating these models with relevant data;
- Performance analysis and reporting: Monitoring the financial performance of projects, including return on investment, cash flow, and other KPIs, and preparing detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders;
- Financial forecasting: Preparing forecasts for new projects, including revenues, costs, and financing requirements.
- Supporting due diligence and financing: Assisting with due diligence processes and supporting external financing processes.
- Audits and data management: Coordinating model audits and managing project documentation for investors and banks.
- In this role, you will report to the Head of Investments & Modelling.
Is this your professional zodiac sign?
- At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position, preferably in renewable energy or project financing.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, or another relevant field.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and financial models, good knowledge of Power BI and VBA.
- Project financing appeals to you and you have a good basic knowledge of accounting (e.g., balance sheets and profit and loss statements).
- You have a strong interest in renewable energy and related business models, including experience with figures and financial models.
- You have a keen analytical mind and a passion for figures.
- Working quickly under pressure is second nature to you, and you always meet deadlines without stress.
- You effortlessly translate complex financial plans into clear, understandable reports and presentations.
- Flexibility and pragmatism are your strengths: you set priorities, look for solutions, and keep an eye on agreements.
- You maintain an overview through your structured approach, even when things get busy.
- As a team player, you are always approachable, but you also work well independently.
- A dynamic work environment and varied work give you the energy you need.
- Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English and basic knowledge of French.

In recent years, our focus has mainly been on wind energy. Now that we have more than 55 wind turbines in operation, we are broadening our scope to other areas where we can accelerate the energy transition.
