Up until 30 November 2018, residents who live near Storm wind farms in Melsele or near the sites of ArcelorMittal in Ghent could register for the resident participation in their municipality. Employees who work at ArcelorMittal in Ghent could also register to become resident participants.
At the end of the registration period, Storm had a total of 151 cooperatives for the Storm wind farm in Melsele and 356 cooperatives for the wind farm in Ghent.
In total we welcomed 507 new cooperatives to Storm CVBA!
Today Storm CVBA has a total of 2.868 cooperatives for the wind farms in Wachtebeke, Wielsbeke, Maasmechelen, Westerlo, Geel, Meer, Dilsen-Stokkem, Desselgem, Lokeren, Zandvliet, Minderhout, Melsele and Ghent Harbour Phase 1 and 2.
