Open day at the Courrière wind farm site

On Sunday 12 March, we opened the gates at the site of the new Storm Wind Farm in Courrière. We welcomed a lot of enthusiastic visitors, despite the wintry weather.

Construction of the three wind turbines started last year and, if all goes well, will be completed before the summer. During the open day, interested parties could take a look around the site and learn more about wind energy. It was the perfect time to visit the wind farm under construction, as a lot of the large components, such as the blades and the nacelle could be viewed on the ground.

Our Storm colleagues gave everyone an impressive tour of the site and answered all their questions about green energy. It was a really enjoyable Sunday!
